Keep Inspiring New Generations
Founded by Katie May on February 28, 2024, Kingdom Academy of Performing Arts is a vibrant dance school dedicated to nurturing young talents and fostering a love for dance across all ages. We offer a diverse range of exciting performances, and a supportive community that encourages growth and creativity.
Our Story
Katie began dancing at a very young age, where she fell in love with assisting her dance teachers whenever she could. She was so inspired by how they nurtured a love for dance in young people, and wanted to do the same. At just 15 she created the idea of Kingdom Academy, whist on a break at dance.
Katie has trained in Ballet, Tap, Modern, Musical Theatre, Contemporary, Street, just to name a few, and has RAD (Royal Academy of Dance), ISTD (Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing) & UDO (United Dance Organisation) exam experience, she has also won many national titles in a mixture of styles.
When she was 18 she got her first teaching job in performing arts and decided that there was no better time to open her own school to welcome a new generation of dancers in to the performing arts world, which is where the slogan "Keep Inspiring New Generations" came from! At just 19 years of age she opened KAPA in February of 2024 and began her dream.
